After completing a Fitting and Turning trade apprenticeship in 1971-74 at Caufield Institute of Technology, Ray Travica began his career in compressed air as a service technician with Ingersoll Rand.
By 1986 Ray decided to move on and set up shop with a few partners, independent of the big compressor companies. After a few short years there and riding through the recession "we had to have" Ray decided to move out on his own.
In 1992 'Pneu-Air' was founded, which for the next 21 years became a trusted name in the Melbourne compressed air service industry. Ray's son, Glen joined Pneu-Air at 15 years of age as an apprentice in 1997 working with the family business for the majority of his trade career.
